Renee Vaughan Sutherland

A video triptych, with each film presenting a female archetypal figure from Greek mythology whose personas were repeatedly reproduced during the Renaissance and Pre-Raphaelite periods, often in the passive and fantasised forms of their painters.  The films project the return of the gaze within the constraints of the fantasy.
