Motcombe Pool House

Funded by Arts Council England, and part of Eastbourne Alive the six-week residency at Motcombe Pool House aimed to develop artwork with the local community through workshops, culminating in an exhibition. The exploration centred around themes of memory, collective memory, and the ephemeral nature of memory, spanning from minutes to centuries. These themes were intricately linked to both the pool and the area's historical significance as a settlement site for Anglo-Saxon communities, attributed to The Bourne, a freshwater stream that surfaces in Motcombe Gardens opposite the pool.

You can read a review of workshops and residency in an article by Rebecca Maer in the Eastbourne Reporter.
